Look at your lower body:

Take your normal stance and look at your hips.

Are they level?
Is one hip ‘higher’ than the other?
Is your belt line level?
Are your hips rotated towards one side of your body or are they facing straight?

 

Look a little further down at your knees.


Which way are your knees pointed?
Are they straight, pointed outward, or
pointed inward?
Are they pointing in different directions?


Now, stand back and walk towards the mirror - do the knees point outward and then rotate inward upon your foot striking the ground? Do they face straight?

Your knees should point straight ahead and should stay that way when you are moving. If they do not or if they are pointing in two different directions than your body is out of alignment and at risk for injury.
